PLRS: Punjab Land Record

The Punjab government has computerized all types of land records like Jamabandi, Mutation, Roznamacha, and Mutation after Registration includes the Khasra and Khatauni of the lands. These records can be checked online on Punjab Land Records Society’s official website plrs.org.in. The website has around 51 million records of 10,367 villages of all districts of Punjab.

What is PLRS?
PLRS which means Punjab Land Records Society which is established under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860 by the Government of Punjab. The head office of the society is located in the office of the Director of Land Records, Punjab, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar City, Punjab, India.

How to Check Punjab Land Record on PLRS Website

Here are step by step guide to check the land record on PLRS website www.plrs.org.in

  1. Open Punjab Land Record Society’s (PLRS) official website – http://plrs.org.in
  2. Click on Button (Image) ‘Fard’ to get an online land record.
  3. Select your preferred language from ‘Select Language’ Drop-down located at the top right corner of the page
  4. Choose your District, Tehsil/Sub-Tehsil, Village & year and click on the search button, it will open ‘Type of Nakal Register’ page
  5. On ‘Type of Nakal Register’ page there are four options to choose based information required ie Jamabandi, Mutation, Roznamacha and Mutation after Registration
    1. Jamabandi
      1. For Jamabandi Nakal / Sample Fard click on ‘Jamabandi’.
      2. This page gives your four search criteria to search online Jamabandi Nakal
        1. Owners Name Wise: To Search by Owner’s Name, Enter Owner Name and click on the ‘View Report’ button.
        2. Khewat Number Wise: To Search by Khewat Number select your Khewat Number from the drop-down and click on the ‘View Report’ button.
        3. Khasra Number Wise: To Search by Khasra Number select your Khasra Number from the drop-down and click on the ‘View Report’ button.
        4. Khatoni Number Wise: To Search by Khatoni Number select your Khatoni Number from the drop-down and click on the ‘View Report’ button.
    2. Mutation
      1. To generate Mutation Report, click on the ‘Mutation’ option.
      2. Then select your Mutation Number from the dropdown and click on ‘View Report’ to generate Mutation Report.
    3. Roznamcha
      1. To check Roznamcha details, click on “Roznamcha”
      2. You can check Roznamcha by Rapat No. Wise and Rapat Wise
    4. Mutation after Registration
      1. To check Mutation details after Registration, click on ‘Mutation after Registration’ option
      2. To check Mutation details after Registration using any of the following options.
        1. Vaseeka Number.
        2. Mutation Request Number.
        3. Transaction Number.

  3. on dated 6-5-2016 , In Village Gahlrian Tehsil Mukerian District Hoshiarpur I have purchased land 1 Kanal 5 Marla from Khasra No 12//4/2 from the Gian Chand and Babli Devi in the name of my wife Pushpa Devi W/O Harbans Lal R/O Dasuya District Hoshiarpur .The mutation was entered by the patwari on 16-7-2016 after two months and till now Tehsildar has not sanctioned the mutation. The remarks of the mutations is that the mutation is submitted for inspection . Please clarify what is the reason and how much time to sanction the mutation by the Tehsildar .

  4. when i open site plrs.org.in and open the jamabandi page by name its show no data and in punjabi not show virtual key board.

I made several efforts to feed data for the correction of my land record in the Chamkaur sahib and distt Ropar Punjab but each time the website is not-taking data and the website is closed immediately.Please intimate the other method for the correction of record so that data may be feed accordingly

My grandfather bought land in the year of 1928 in village gotran lahri.It was 19 acre as whole khasra nos and 1/8 share of the property of the seller and 1/8 out of 900 kanals,which was a mustarka khewat.duravering consolidation the staff did a lot of loot of land.In the process our 68 kanals of land was looted by consolidation staff.We fought against this loot upto consolidation director,Who in his order on 23.1.1962 observed that a grave injustice has been done and further ordered to prepare an Annexture to make our loss.It is astonishing that the revenue staff implimented this decision during the fard of 1977-78,after a gap of 16 long years,that too instead of increasing our reduced land they further reduced our area by ownersihip but gave us only possesion after the Director’s decision.My father and we are in the courts for the last 56 years due to the delibrate mistakes of revenue officials.During one hearing of our land dipute infront of naib tehsildar i.e executive majistrate promoted from patwari/gardaur openly pronounced in his court that'( ithe taan jehdi daang ohdi majh aa).Where you espect justice.

Till now uneducated peoples were make fool by clerks, babus, patwari, govt. depts. but govt. made this site to make fool of educated ones, surprisingly no feed back, no improvement and no relief to a common man, till date go to patwari or fard kendras, sit there for a long time and get this record and on the other hand govt. is charging a lot in the names of these services and computer fees etc.

I read almost all of above comments but not even a single person says that he got fard copy from this site.. even i tried many times but site is never working.. bullshit made by govt.. either improve this site or just shut it down..

  32. As per govt. announcement the mutation will be sent at home after 15 days. but when i meet to patwari after 45 days to complete registry he told me there is no such practice in our record the mutation will be completed as per old system. plz. clarify the system.

  35. I have tried to get jamabandi. I slected the language Punjabi. But the jamabandi appeared in Urdu. Please advise in this matter.

    • you cannot open and check your JAMABANDI as the ‘virtual keyboard’ is NONFUNCTIONAL.
      nobody is taking any interest to make it functional.
